Who is responsible for your data

The controller is the operator of the moderators.net service, identified in the company details shown at the bottom of this page. You can reach us about privacy at support@moderators.net.

Data we process about clients and visitors

  • Account data: email address, password stored as a hash, role, account settings
  • Plan builder data: the platform type, content types, volume, languages, SLA and coverage you enter, and the resulting plan
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referrer and campaign parameters
  • Communication: emails you send us and our replies
  • Billing data for paid plans: company name, billing address, tax number and payment status

Data we process about moderator applicants

  • Profile data: email, languages, time zone, experience, content types, availability, expected hourly rate and certifications
  • Age confirmation and birth year, used to make sure only adults apply
  • Identity and age verification results, collected only when an applicant moves to verification
  • Assessment results for the queues an applicant selected
  • To create and run your account and provide the service you request: performance of a contract
  • To send codes, service messages and onboarding steps: performance of a contract
  • To verify that moderators are adults and who they say they are: legal obligations and our legitimate interest in protecting clients and users
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse and keep records of decisions: legitimate interest
  • To issue invoices and keep accounting records: legal obligation
  • To send non essential emails about the service: legitimate interest, with an unsubscribe link in every email

Who receives the data

We use service providers in these categories: a hosting provider in the EU or the US, an email delivery provider, a payment operator for subscriptions, AI model providers for content scoring, and identity verification providers for moderator applicants. Each acts on our instructions under a written agreement. We do not sell personal data.

Transfers outside the EEA

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, with additional safeguards where needed.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: while your account is active, then up to 12 months
  • Plan builder data without an account: up to 90 days
  • Moderator applications that do not lead to work: up to 12 months
  • Verification results: as long as the law requires and no longer
  • Invoices and accounting records: as long as tax law requires
  • Security logs: up to 12 months

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, ask for correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Write to support@moderators.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for logging in, security and remembering your plan. We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. Moderator applications are accepted from people aged 18 or older only.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date above, and for significant changes we inform account holders by email.
